As a professional longarm quilter for nearly 20 years, my engineer hubby has designed (and built) several things for my quilt studio. Together, we made t-shirt quilts for over 15 years, and he was an integral part of the process.
How many times have you knocked your iron off of the ironing board, and it quit working? Well, after about the third time in two weeks, hubby came up with a plan. He designed a wall mounted iron caddy. We happen to have colums in our shop, and is the best place to mount the caddy.
We even have the 'big board' ironing board. By having the iron up and out of the way, it is a breeze to iron quilt tops or quilt backing.
